Description
Dietary supplement based on fermented soybean extract containing nattokinase NSK-SD, a natural fibrinolytic and antithrombotic enzyme with plasmin-like activity.
The fermented soybean extract comes in the form of an odorless, milky white powder. It consists of 30% fermented soybean extract powder and 70% resistant dextrin (as a carrier) derived from corn starch, which is added during processing. Vitamin K2 is removed during the manufacturing process. The fermented soybean extract contains nattokinase isolated from natto, a food produced by fermenting non-genetically modified soybeans (Glicine Max L.) with a selected strain of bacillus subtilis var. natto. Nattokinase activity: 20,000-28,000 FU/g (fibrin degradation units, analysis method described in Takaoka et al).
Nattokinase is an enzyme found in the Japanese food called natto. During the extraction and purification process, the Vitamin K2 present in natto is completely removed to ensure greater safety of use. Nattokinase is a serine protease consisting of 275 amino acid residues, has a molecular weight of 275 Daltons, appears as an odorless, milky white powder, and possesses fibrinolytic activity of 2000 Fibrinolytic Units (FU) per 100 mg of active ingredient. The recommended dosage is 100 mg per day, equivalent to 2000 FU. Nattokinase NSK-SD is listed by JHFA (Japan Health and Nutrition Food Association) and JNKA (Japan Nattokinase Association), which guarantees the authenticity and conformity of the active ingredient. Nattokinase NSK-SD is produced using non-genetically modified soybeans, fermented by a patented strain of bacillus subtilis var. natto, owned by JBSL (Japan Bio Science Laboratory).
Nattokinase is characterized by its ability to modify the rheological properties of blood; it improves blood flow by reducing its viscosity. Its action is exerted by inhibiting red blood cell aggregation, inhibiting platelet aggregation, and improving fibrinolytic and thrombolytic activity. At the suggested dosage, nattokinase reduces the concentration of coagulation factors to the minimum physiological amounts without interfering with wound hemostasis processes. Nattokinase also has antihypertensive activity and is able to reduce the concentration of C-reactive protein (CRP), a known risk factor for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
Reonat can be used as an adjuvant when there is a reduced intake or increased utilization of its constituents, which mainly occurs in cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis, and in all conditions where it is desired to reduce blood viscosity.
