PONTEFIX
Description
Temporary fixing agent for bridges, crowns, post teeth, and caps made from all types of materials, on prepared teeth and implants. For simplicity, the word "cap" is used in these instructions to refer to all items for which Pontefix is required. Pontefix's original formula has made it possible to use zinc oxyphosphate for temporary fixings.
- Pontefix maintains the characteristics of a definitive fixing.
- Pontefix does not damage the caps in any way.
- Pontefix does not compromise the dentist's subsequent definitive treatment.
- The product is single-use.
Instructions for use
Carefully remove any material residue from inside the cap using a pointed object. Then complete the cleaning with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
Place the cotton roll between the gum and the cheek, near the tooth or implant on which the fixing is to be performed.
Check the correct orientation of the cap before placing it directly on the tooth.
Open the powder jar and add all the liquid contained in the single-dose vial.
Mix with the spatula until a homogeneous mixture is obtained (about 20/30 seconds).
Caution: the mixture hardens in about 2 minutes; therefore, it is necessary to proceed quickly.
To use the product in high-temperature conditions (above 28 °C-30 °C), it is advisable to mix the components in a cool and shaded place as it may harden faster.
Using the spatula, fill the cap halfway with the mixture. (In the event of a Richmond crown post detachment, the mixture should be applied directly to the post.
Insert the cap onto the tooth in the correct position.
Remove the cotton roll previously inserted between the cheek and the gum and place it over the fixed cap.
Clench teeth for about five minutes.
Once fixed, remove any excess mixture that has oozed out of the cap.
Warnings
Despite its excellent resistance, Pontefix does not eliminate the causes that led to the detachment of the prosthesis. If the problem persists, it is advisable to consult your dentist.
The contained mixture is sufficient to fix one to four caps simultaneously.
Storage
Store in a cool and dry place.
