LITHOS
Description
A food supplement based on potassium citrate and magnesium citrate, useful for supplementing these nutrients in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need.
Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism and electrolyte balance.
Ingredients
Each sachet contains 1513 mg of potassium citrate equal to 547 mg of potassium (14 mEq), 581 mg of magnesium citrate, equal to 90 mg of magnesium (7 mEq) for a total of 21 mEq of citrate.
Gluten-free and naturally lactose-free.
How to use
Unless otherwise medically indicated, it is recommended to take 2 LITHOS sachets per day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening, preferably on a full stomach, dissolving the content of one sachet in a glass of water (about 150 ml) until a pleasant wild berry flavoured drink is obtained.
Warnings
For potassium intake, it is advisable to consult a doctor. The simultaneous intake of some medicines may in turn interfere with potassium retention in the body. Use is not recommended for children.
LITHOS Sachets is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or from conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations (such as chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus).
The simultaneous intake of LITHOS Sachets and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could lead to hyperkalemia. In this condition, it is advisable to monitor the trend of kalemia. No interactions with other drugs are known.
Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disorders such as abdominal heaviness, nausea, and occasionally diarrhea may be observed.
These symptoms can be alleviated by taking LITHOS Sachets on a full stomach.
Should these or other undesirable effects occur, it is advisable to contact your doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children under three years of age.
Supplements are not intended as substitutes for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
The product contains polyalcohols: excessive consumption can have laxative effects.
The product may promote the alkalinization of urine.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place away from light and localised heat sources, sunlight, and avoid contact with water.
