Description
A food supplement containing potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, and zinc citrate, useful for supplementing these nutrients in cases of reduced dietary intake or increased need.
Magnesium contributes to normal energy metabolism and electrolyte balance.
Contains zinc citrate as a source of zinc, which contributes to normal acid-base metabolism.
The tablet's manufacturing process allows for the prolonged release of nutrients over time.

Ingredients
Each LITHOS tablet contains 715 mg of potassium citrate, equal to 273.7 mg of potassium (7 mEq), 274.4 mg of magnesium citrate, equal to 42.5 mg of magnesium (3.5 mEq) for a total of 10.5 mEq of citrate, and 0.75 mg of zinc.

Directions for use
Unless otherwise medically indicated, it is recommended to take 2 tablets per day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening, preferably on a full stomach, swallowing the tablet with a glass of water.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Supplements should not be considered as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
LITHOS is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the occurrence of such plasma alterations (such as chronic renal failure and uncontrolled diabetes mellitus).
Concomitant intake of LITHOS and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could lead to hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor blood potassium levels. No interactions with other drugs are known.
Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances such as abdominal heaviness, nausea, and occasionally diarrhea may be observed. These symptoms can be alleviated by taking LITHOS on a full stomach.
The product may promote the alkalinization of urine.
