Description
Toothpaste based on 0.20% chlorhexidine.
It is a gentle gel for the gums, an anti-plaque aid, which ensures complete oral hygiene by inhibiting the development of bacteria that form plaque.
Plaque is composed of millions of bacteria that cause food residues to ferment, thus producing acids that damage tooth enamel and cause tooth decay.
An unwanted consequence of bacterial plaque formation is gingivitis, characterized by redness and bleeding gums.
If neglected, gingivitis can degenerate into periodontitis: a gum recession that, in extreme cases, can lead to tooth loss.
Chlorhexidine can cause staining on the tooth surface, which can be easily removed at the dental office.
