Folate is of fundamental importance for the conversion of homocysteine to methionine.
Methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the methyl cycle that catalyzes the only biochemical reaction that produces 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (Quatrefolic), useful for reducing plasma homocysteine levels.
MTHFR C677T is a common mutation of MTHFR with reduced catalytic activity, which leads to elevated plasma homocysteine levels, a common risk factor for cardiovascular disorders. A recent meta-analysis (published in June 2017) observed that patients with the MTHFR C677T mutation have a 30% higher risk of developing ischemic stroke.

Ingredients
Fish oil titrated in docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea L., fruit), food gelatin (capsule ingredient), homotaurine, coating agents: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, shellac; anti-caking agents: silicon dioxide; antioxidant: DL-alpha-tocopherol; stabilizer: glycerol; extracyan black blueberry (Vaccinium myrtillus L., fruit) dry extract; colorant: iron oxide; quatrefolic [(6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, glucosamine salt].

Directions for use
