Description
Lubricating and antioxidant ophthalmic gel without preservatives based on coenzyme Q10, vitamin E TPGS and cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose, indicated for both day and night use.
Cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose is an extremely safe and inert biosynthetic substance, which is more effective and longer lasting. Its cross-linking and the lack of specific enzymes capable of degrading the molecule at the ocular surface stabilise the polymer, giving it a longer half-life compared to classic hyaluronic acids. In addition, cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose is a hydrogel that in its native state has specific characteristics of visco-supplementation, hydration, mucomimetic properties and substance delivery.
The combination of cross-linked sodium carboxymethylcellulose and antioxidant/anti-radical substances gives VISUXL GEL a more effective action in cases of:
- moderate-severe dry eye;
- foreign body trauma;
- alterations in the continuity of the corneal and conjunctival surface after refractive corneal surgery, cornea transplant, in order to alleviate typical post-surgical symptoms by acting as a cushion between the eyelid and the corneal and conjunctival epithelium;
- alterations of the ocular surface related to metabolic diseases (diabetes).
Instructions for use
Instill 1 drop of VISUXL GEL into the conjunctival sac of each eye twice a day or as otherwise advised by your ophthalmologist.

100 ml of VISUXL GEL contain:
- coenzyme Q10 100 mg;
