Symptomatic treatment of constipation. It promotes peristalsis, helping to ensure adequate bowel evacuation, thus counteracting constipation and preventing the formation of fecal impactions.
Macrogol is an inert, water-soluble, high-molecular-weight polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for ingestion, retaining it in the feces. This rehydrates and softens the fecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolized in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalances if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

Instructions for use
Use the measuring spoon included in the package to measure out the powder: fill it level and not pressed, then remove any excess product with the blade of a knife.

- Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 to 10 level scoops per day. The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose does not normally exceed 10 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50 ml for each scoop) and take immediately. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if the minimum dose (2 scoops per day) is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noticed after 7 days of treatment, consult a doctor.

- Children aged between 6 months and 12 years: the dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow for regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose does not normally exceed 4 scoops per day. Dissolve the powder in water or other liquid (50ml for each scoop) and take immediately. It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if 1 scoop per day is to be taken. For larger doses, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noticed after 7 days of treatment, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Warnings
Administration to children should be carried out under direct adult supervision. It is advisable to use the product in pediatric age after consulting a doctor.
Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and therefore the absorption of oral medicines. Therefore, it is advisable to consult a doctor if oral medicines are taken simultaneously, which must in any case be administered at an interval of at least 2 hours.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not take in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components;
- perforation, obstruction or intestinal stenosis;
- paralytic ileus;
- severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in the presence of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin, and in cases of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disorders may occur (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea and fecal incontinence).
Diarrhea is a secondary effect of taking excessive doses of Sanipeg and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) have rarely been reported following the use of products containing macrogol. In such a case, discontinue treatment and consult a doctor.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources. Close the container carefully after use.
The expiry date refers to the product stored correctly.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 36 months.
