Symptomatic treatment of constipation, oral solution powder.

Instructions for use
SaniPeg 10 g:
indicated for adults and children over 12 years of age.
- 1 to 4 sachets per day.
The dose should be increased or decreased, depending on the individual response to treatment, to allow regular evacuation of soft stools. The maximum necessary dose does not normally exceed 4 sachets per day.
Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 125 ml of water or other liquid and take immediately.
It is advisable to administer the product in the morning if 1 sachet per day is to be taken. If more sachets are taken, divide the intake between morning and evening. If no improvement is noticed after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.
SaniPeg 4 g:
indicated for children aged 2 to 12 years.
- 2 to 4 years: 1-2 sachets per day;
- 5 to 11 years: 2-4 sachets per day.

If physiological bowel regularity is not restored after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor.

Features
CE Medical device. Macrogol is an inert, water-soluble, high molecular weight polymer that has the ability to bind to the water used for intake, retaining it in the faeces. It causes rehydration and softening of the faecal mass and facilitates its evacuation. It accelerates intestinal transit by promoting peristalsis. It is not absorbed or metabolised in the gastrointestinal tract and does not lead to hydro-electrolytic imbalances if taken with the indicated dose of liquid.

Warnings
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Administration in children must be carried out under the direct supervision of an adult.
Do not use if the package is open or damaged.
There is insufficient information about the use of SaniPeg during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so its intake in such circumstances should only be carried out under medical supervision.
The product may reduce the residence time in the intestine and thus the absorption of oral medications.
It is therefore advisable to consult your doctor if you are taking oral medicines concurrently, which in any case should be administered at least 2 hours apart.
In case of adverse reactions, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.

Contraindications
Do not take SaniPeg in case of:
- known hypersensitivity to one or more components.
- Perforation, obstruction or intestinal stenosis.
- Paralytic ileus.
- Severe inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g., ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, toxic megacolon).
The use of laxatives is contraindicated in the presence of acute or unknown abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting, rectal bleeding of unknown origin and in case of severe dehydration.
Some gastrointestinal disturbances (stomach ache, flatulence, abdominal bloating, nausea and faecal incontinence) may occur. Diarrhoea is a secondary effect to taking excessive doses of SANIPEG and can be avoided by reducing the dose.
Cases of hypersensitivity reactions (skin rash) following the use of macrogol-containing products have been rarely reported.
In such cases, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, away from light and heat sources.
Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the package.
The expiry date refers to the product correctly stored in an intact package.
Shelf life with intact packaging: 36 months.

Components
One 4 g sachet contains: macrogol 4 g, sucralose.
One 10 g sachet contains: macrogol 10 g, sucralose.

Format
Pack of 20 sachets of 4 g and 10 g.
