Description
Medical device in powder form for extemporaneous oral suspension, useful in the treatment of constipation. It is particularly indicated for chronic constipation and in cases of occasionally irregular bowel movements.
PEGinpol is a medical device with a laxative action that, through an osmotic effect, naturally regulates the bowel. Thanks to its affinity for water, PEGinpol softens the stools, facilitating evacuation without causing cramps, abdominal pain, or a sense of urgency. It is not absorbed or fermented in the intestine, does not irritate the mucous membrane, and is eliminated in the stools in an unmodified form. Its effectiveness does not decrease over time.

Ingredients
Macrogol 3350; excipients: silicon dioxide, flavor, sodium saccharin.

Does not contain gluten or lactose.

Directions for use
From 6 months to 2 years (up to 12 kg): 0.8 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
From 2 to 11 years (from 12 kg to 20 kg): 1 g of product per kg of body weight per day.
Over 11 years old (or > 20 kg): 10-30 g of product per day.

The dose can be increased or decreased depending on the individual response to treatment. The most correct daily dosage for each age group should be decided based on the child's weight and the severity of the constipation. In any case, it is advisable to consult a doctor for the most appropriate dosage. Use the product in pediatric age only after medical advice.
The maximum necessary dose normally does not exceed 30 g of product per day. Based on the dosage indicated above, take the amount of product using the measuring spoon with markings that allow dosing 0.5 g (first mark), 1 g (second mark), and 2 g (level spoon) of product. Dissolve one level spoon (equal to 2 g) in approximately 1/4 glass of water (about 25 ml). Drink the reconstituted solution. The daily dose can be divided into several administrations. The product can be reconstituted in advance in the appropriate volume of water and the solution stored in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 24 hours. It is advisable to take PEGinpol away from meals.

Warnings
The oral suspension must be prepared at the time of intake.
It is advisable not to take quantities greater than those indicated, as higher doses can cause unexpected side effects.
Do not use PEGinpol for more than 30 consecutive days; if symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Do not take in case of intolerance to the product.
Do not take in case of known hypersensitivity to the components and to Polyethylene Glycol.
Do not use in children under 6 months.
During treatment with PEGinpol, it is advisable to follow an adequate diet accompanied by the administration of an oral rehydration solution (ORS) to avoid dehydration; however, it is advisable to consult a doctor.
Keep out of reach of children.

Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in the original packaging. The indicated expiry date refers to the product correctly stored in an unopened package.
