Policaptil Gel Retard acts in the intestine by forming a highly viscous gel that helps control the postprandial glycemic peak, reducing the quantity and speed of carbohydrate absorption (retard effect). This also leads to a reduction in the feeling of hunger and postprandial drowsiness.
Furthermore, through the same mechanism, Policaptil Gel Retard limits fat absorption, promotes intestinal transit, and regulates stool consistency.
Thanks to its mechanism of action, Libramed is indicated for:
1. Adults and teenagers aged 12 and above
• In cases of overweight and obesity
• With high abdominal circumference values, even if of normal weight
2. Children aged 8 and above
• In cases of overweight and obesity
The product exerts its maximum effectiveness in conjunction with a balanced diet, adequate fluid intake, and regular physical activity.

Instructions for use
- Adults and teenagers over 12 years: 3 tablets before the two main meals.
- Children between 8 and 12 years: 2 tablets before the two main meals.

Take the indicated dose with a large glass of water, making sure to swallow one tablet at a time. Do not chew or break the tablet with your teeth.
For those with swallowing difficulties, Libramed tablets can be dissolved in warm water or unsweetened herbal teas, stirring until completely dissolved. The resulting beverage must be consumed within a few minutes, before the gel forms.

Take Libramed for a period of at least 2 months, making sure to stop for 2-3 days after each month of treatment.

Policaptil Gel Retard is a patented macromolecular complex produced through a manufacturing technology that allows the concentration of specific polysaccharide fractions obtained from: Cellulose, Opuntia Ficus indica, Amorphophallus konjac, Althaea officinalis, Linum usitatissimum, Tilia platyphyllos, Cichorium intybus.

Warnings
For those with swallowing difficulties, direct ingestion of the tablets is not recommended; they should be dissolved beforehand.
It is advisable to take the product at least two hours after taking medications to avoid a possible interaction with their absorption.
Do not take during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
For individuals undergoing pharmacological treatment for diabetes and hyperlipidemias, it is advisable to consult a doctor to evaluate the need for a possible change in medication dosages.
Do not use if there is hypersensitivity or individual allergy to one or more components.
Keep out of reach of children.
The safety of Libramed has been confirmed through clinical studies conducted on adults and teenagers, which showed excellent tolerability. Taking Libramed did not cause alterations in the main hemato-chemical and urine values. During the first few days of use, flatulence may occur, which resolves spontaneously as treatment continues. In these cases, it is advisable to reduce the dosage to 1 tablet twice a day and gradually increase it until the indicated dosage is reached.

Storage
Store at room temperature, away from heat sources and protected from light.
The expiration date refers to the intact product, correctly stored. Do not use after the indicated expiration date.
Validity with intact packaging: 36 months.
