Ialuvit

A solution with a high content of sodium hyaluronate (0.5%) which, thanks to its mucomimetic and pseudoplastic properties, distributes evenly over the ocular surface, forming a protective viscoelastic bandage. In this way, Ialuvit stabilizes the tear film and reduces friction and stress caused by blinking and eye movements. Cyanocobalamin and taurine, respectively a B vitamin and an amino acid, are physiologically present in the tissues of the anterior segment of the eye and, together with hyaluronic acid, are able to assist the re-epithelialization process of the corneal surface.
Ialuvit is formulated in a hypotonic solution to counteract any hyperosmolarity of the tear film and, thanks to its particular saline composition, restores and maintains the physiological levels of important ions such as sodium, potassium and magnesium, essential for the well-being of the ocular surface.

Instructions for use
Ialuvit should be dosed individually according to your condition and based on the recommendations of your ophthalmologist. In general, instill 1-2 drops of the solution into the conjunctival sac of each eye 3-4 times a day.
To reduce the risk of product contamination during use, it is advisable to open the aluminum pouch only if the product is to be used immediately thereafter.
Detach a single vial from the strip.
To open the vial, remove the top tab by rotating it, being careful to place it on a clean surface so that it can be reused for subsequent closing of the vial.
Instill 1-2 drops into each eye, letting them fall from above and avoiding the vial touching the eyelashes or the ocular surface.
Close the vial by reinserting the tab immediately after application.
Ialuvit can also be used while wearing contact lenses.

Components
100 ml of solution contain: sodium hyaluronate 0.5 g, cyanocobalamin 0.05 g, taurine 0.5 g, sorbitol, trisodium citrate, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, water for injection.

Warnings
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the components or other chemically related substances.
For external use only. Ialuvit should not be used immediately before the administration of therapeutic medications, and within ten minutes after the application of any topical pharmacological therapy.
In rare cases, a slight blurring of vision has been observed upon instillation, which is due to the viscosity of the solution. This sensation, however, disappears very quickly.
In some rare cases, intolerance (burning and/or irritation sensation) may occur, which is without consequences and does not require a change in treatment. However, it is advisable to contact your ophthalmologist if symptoms persist. Adhering to the instructions in the leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.
Do not use the preparation after the expiration date indicated on the package.
Keep out of reach of children.
The red coloration of the solution is due to the presence of cyanocobalamin and does not indicate an alteration of the product. If used in conjunction with contact lenses, the ophthalmic solution may cause coloration; this is only temporary and does not cause any damage to the lens itself.

Storage
Store at a temperature between 2°C and 25°C.
Shelf life after opening: 24 months.
