Sterile ophthalmic ointment for ophthalmic use.
HYLO NIGHT protects the ocular surface and stabilizes the tear film. HYLO NIGHT is an ophthalmic ointment that, thanks to its particular composition, is easily applied to the ocular surface. The vitamin A it contains is a natural component of the tear film, which promotes good tolerability of the ophthalmic ointment and ensures complete mixing with tears. It relieves the sensation of burning, dryness or tired eyes. Finally, it facilitates the sliding of the eyelids over the corneal and conjunctival surface.

Components
1 g HYLO NIGHT contains 250 I.U. of retinol palmitate (vitamin A), paraffin, light liquid paraffin, lanolin and white petrolatum.

Instructions for use
Use in air-conditioned environments, such as in a car or airplane, in the presence of wind, cold, intense solar radiation; stale air or cigarette smoke also often cause dry or itchy eyes with a related sensation of dryness or foreign body. These symptoms can also be caused by excessive visual strain, for example when working too many hours at the computer, when watching television or when driving at night. The risk of these eye disorders is even higher if you wear contact lenses. HYLO NIGHT relieves these symptoms by creating an adequate and lasting protective ocular film. The oily consistency of the ointment causes a slight and transient alteration of vision, so it is preferable to apply HYLO NIGHT in the evening before going to bed. HYLO NIGHT can also prevent any discomfort due to the first opening of the eyes upon waking.
Ophthalmic ointments must be used avoiding contact of the dispenser nozzle with the eye or skin.
Use HYLO NIGHT only if the seal of the carton was intact before first use.
Unscrew the cap covering the dispenser nozzle.
1) Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid of the eye with a finger of one hand.
2) With the other hand, hold the tube vertically above the eye. Spread a strip of ointment into the conjunctival sac by applying gentle pressure to the tube.
3) Close your eyelids gently then blink normally.
Replace the cap on the tube.
To avoid contamination, avoid contact of the dispenser nozzle with the eye or any other surface.
The frequency of use depends on your habits and personal needs. HYLO NIGHT can be used in addition to lubricating eye drops and is applied once a day in the evening before going to bed. In case of more severe dry eye sensation, HYLO NIGHT is generally applied three times a day in each eye. For more frequent use of HYLO NIGHT, consult your ophthalmologist. There are no limits to the duration of treatment.

Warnings
The use of HYLO NIGHT during the day causes a slight alteration of vision due to the greasy consistency of the ointment. In this case, you should therefore avoid driving, operating machinery or working without a stable base. HYLO NIGHT should not be used simultaneously with other ophthalmic pharmaceutical products. In these cases, HYLO NIGHT should be used at least 30 minutes after the application of other medicinal products to the eye. To dispense the ointment, apply gentle pressure to the tube without bending or rolling it. Based on the most recent data, HYLO NIGHT can also be used in children, pregnant women or while breastfeeding. Use one package of HYLO NIGHT for each individual. In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions such as redness, burning, itchy eyes or excessive tearing have been reported, which improved immediately after discontinuation of treatment with HYLO NIGHT.
HYLO NIGHT should not be used in case of known individual hypersensitivity to any of the product's components. HYLO NIGHT should not be applied while wearing contact lenses. HYLO NIGHT should not be used immediately after ophthalmic surgery or following acute eye injuries as there are no clinical studies for this purpose.

Storage
Do not store above 25°C.
If stored correctly, HYLO NIGHT can be used for up to 6 months after first opening.
Do not use HYLO NIGHT after the expiry date.
Keep HYLO NIGHT out of the reach of children.
