The blood sample is drawn into the tip of the test strip by capillary action. The glucose in the sample then reacts with an enzyme and a mediator, generating electrons, which produce a current proportional to the glucose concentration in the sample. After the reaction time, the glucose concentration in the sample is displayed. The instrument is calibrated to display plasma concentration results.
Intended for external use (in vitro diagnostic use) by people with diabetes and by healthcare professionals in clinical settings, to effectively monitor diabetes. The system should not be used for diagnosing diabetes.

Instructions for use
PERFORMING THE TEST
Properly set up the meter and have all necessary materials on hand before starting the test.
1. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before starting the test.
2. Remove a test strip from the vial or foil pouch. Close the vial cap securely immediately after removing the test strip.
3. Insert the test strip into the instrument in the direction of the arrow. The instrument will turn on after an audible beep.
4. A symbol with a test strip and a flashing blood drop appears on the display, indicating that the instrument is ready for testing.
PREPARING THE LANCING DEVICE
To obtain a fingertip blood sample, adjust the penetration depth to reduce pain. The clear cap is not needed for obtaining a fingertip blood sample.
1. Unscrew the lancing device cap from the body. Insert a sterile lancet into the lancing device and push it until the lancet stops completely in the device.
2. Hold the lancet firmly in the lancing device and twist off the lancet's safety tab, then pull out the safety tab. Keep the safety tab for later disposal of the used lancet.
3. Carefully screw the cap back onto the lancing device. Avoid contact with the exposed needle. Ensure the cap is fully screwed onto the device.
4. Adjust the penetration depth by rotating the lancing device cap. There are a total of 5 penetration depth settings. To reduce pain, use the lowest setting that still allows you to obtain a sufficient blood drop.
Adjustment:
- 0 and 1 for delicate skin;
- 2 and 3 for normal skin;
- 4 and 5 for calloused or thick skin.

OBTAINING BLOOD DROP AND PERFORMING THE TEST
1. Pull back the end to prime the lancing device. The device will click to indicate that the lancing device is now primed and ready to obtain a blood drop.
2. Press the lancing device. Push the release button to prick the fingertip. You should feel a click when the lancing device activates.
3. Gently massage the finger from the base to the tip to obtain the desired blood volume. Avoid touching the blood drop. To reduce pain, it is recommended to prick the side of the finger. Perform the test immediately after obtaining the necessary amount of blood.
4. Immediately touch the tip of the test strip to the blood drop. Blood will be drawn into the test strip through the tip. Ensure that the test strip channel is completely filled. Keep the tip of the test strip in contact with the blood drop until the meter beeps.
5. The meter will begin a 5-second countdown, and the result will be displayed after an audible beep. The test result will be automatically saved in the device's memory. Please do not touch the test strip during the countdown as this may cause an error.

Removing the used test strip
You can eject the used test strip by sliding the strip ejector lever forward. The instrument automatically turns off after an audible beep.
Removing the used lancet
Unscrew the lancing device cap. Place the lancet safety tab on a flat surface; carefully insert the lancet needle into the safety tab.
Press the release button to ensure the lancing device is unprimed. Slide the ejector button forward to eject the used lancet. Replace the lancing device cap.

Alternate Site Testing
Blood samples for glucose testing can be taken from sites other than the fingertip.
Tests performed on alternate sites such as the forearm or palm may yield glucose results that differ significantly from blood taken from the fingertip.
Differences occur when blood glucose levels change rapidly, for example, after a meal, after insulin administration, during or after physical exercise.
The forearm and palm have fewer nerve endings than the fingertips. You might find that obtaining a blood sample from these sites causes less pain than from the fingertips.
The procedure for obtaining a blood sample from the forearm and palm is different.
You need the clear cap to obtain blood from these sites. The clear cap is not adjustable for penetration depth.
1. Follow steps 1 and 2 of "Preparing the lancing device" to insert the lancet and prime the lancing device.
2. Screw the clear cap onto the lancing device.
3. Choose a sampling site on the forearm or palm. Select a soft, fleshy area of the forearm and palm, clean and dry, away from bones and free of visible veins and hair. To bring fresh blood to the surface of the penetration site, massage the site for a few seconds until it feels warm.
4. Place the lancing device against the penetration site. Hold the clear cap firmly against the site for a few seconds. Press the release button of the lancing device, but do not immediately lift the device from the puncture site. Continue to hold the device against the penetration site until a sufficient blood sample forms.

Warnings
- The meter is preset to display blood glucose concentration in millimoles per liter or milligrams per deciliter, depending on the standard unit of measurement in your country.
