Description
Ensure Plus Advance is a hypercaloric (1.5 kcal/ml) oral nutritional supplement with a unique combination of HMB*, proteins, and vitamin D to effectively prevent muscle mass loss.
It prevents the loss of muscle tone in sick patients and those forced into immobility, and promotes muscle mass recovery during convalescence.
*HMB (beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyric acid) is a metabolite of the essential amino acid leucine, which specifically supports protein synthesis and helps prevent the breakdown of endogenous proteins.
It is particularly suitable:
- in cases of malnutrition;
- in cases of high protein requirements;
- to counteract age-related muscle mass loss;
- for recovery after hospitalization and/or illness;
- in cases of frailty.
