Description
Food supplement of magnesium, zinc and copper with alpha-lipoic acid, devil's claw, eschscholzia, ononis and feverfew; indicated to provide a supplementary intake of these nutrients in cases of deficiency or increased need. The nutritional components present in the product can contribute to: normal muscle function (magnesium); maintenance of normal connective tissues (copper); protection of cells from oxidative stress (copper and zinc). The plant extracts can: promote joint function (devil's claw and feverfew); counteract localized tension (feverfew); promote a state of relaxation (eschscholzia) and promote the drainage of body fluids (ononis).
Properties
-Ononis spinosa (d.e.): the roots and rhizomes of this plant are used; it exerts a spasmolytic and muscle relaxant action on smooth muscles, also favoring a mild diuretic action.
-Eschscholzia (d.e.): the aerial parts of this plant are rich in protopine which exerts an analgesic and muscle relaxant action and is particularly indicated in cases of conditions characterized by muscle spasms.
-Devil's claw (d.e.): in addition to the well-known anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic action of the phytocomplex, devil's claw is also able to exert an analgesic and hypouricemic action, therefore it is a useful adjuvant in the treatment of gouty conditions.
-Feverfew (d.e.): the aerial parts (flowers and leaves) of this plant belonging to the Composite family are rich in sesquiterpene lactones, of which parthenolide is the main representative. Feverfew determines an analgesic and anti-inflammatory action and, as regards the mechanism of action, an inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis has been demonstrated, which seems to be mediated by an inhibitory effect on phospholipase. The anti-inflammatory action of parthenolide would also be contributed by an inhibitory effect on both the 5-lipo-oxygenase enzyme and the activation of the inducible forms of cyclo-oxygenase and nitric oxide synthase enzymes.
-Alpha-lipoic acid: from a metabolic point of view, it acts as a cofactor for numerous enzymes involved in the glucose conversion process, but some of its structural characteristics make it extraordinarily effective as an antioxidant and therefore indispensable for counteracting the damage associated with the formation of free radicals. In this specific case, it acts by improving the speed of nervous communication and exerts a normalizing action on nervous sensitivity, thereby reducing both pain and sensory torpor.
-Zinc: is an essential mineral and, in terms of quantity, is the second most abundant in the body. It plays an essential role both in the absorption and utilization of vitamins and in the constitution of most metabolically active enzymes. For this reason, it is absolutely fundamental for good muscle function.
-Magnesium: presides over ion transport mechanisms, allows muscle contraction and the function of cellular ion pumps. It plays a fundamental role in the metabolism of lipids, carbohydrates, proteins, participates in ATP synthesis and stabilizes it in the cytoplasm. For these multiple reasons, it is essential for the physiological functioning of both voluntary and involuntary muscles.
-Copper: is an essential element for the human species. In the various tissues, it acts mainly as a cofactor for numerous enzymes that are in turn involved in various physiological functions and is also contained in some proteins. Its action is important for skeletal mineralization and for the formation of new red blood cells and connective tissue.
Ingredients
Alpha-lipoic acid, light magnesium carbonate, devil's claw d.e. 20% harpagoside, feverfew d.e. 0.5% parthenolide, ononis d.e. 1:4, eschscholzia d.e. 0.2% protopine, zinc sulfate monohydrate, copper gluconate; technological adjuvants: maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, talc, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose.
