FarmaCup

Description
A safe, ecological and practical alternative to traditional internal tampons, the menstrual cup respects the body and the environment because it is hypoallergenic and reusable. It is very economical compared to traditional tampons and very easy to use on any occasion, both day and night, when travelling or playing sports. Made of 100% soft platinum medical silicone, instead of absorbing menstrual flow, it collects it, respecting the body's natural balance.
It contains no latex, phthalates, animal-derived substances (BSE-TSE), dyes, perfumes, or dangerous chemicals.
Small cup suitable for those under 30 who have never had children, unless the birth was by C-section.
Large cup suitable for those over 30 who have had children by natural birth.

Instructions for use
Always wash your hands thoroughly before any operation. Visually and by touch, check the FarmaCup, paying attention to the small holes on the wider circumference, which are essential to facilitate its extraction and release the "seal" effect; it is therefore important that they are always clear. If necessary, remove any obstruction by passing a small needle through them. Sterilise the FarmaCup by immersing it in water and boiling it for at least 5-7 minutes. Make sure the cup is completely immersed in water; this will prevent it from being damaged. Sterilisation should be carried out at the beginning of each cycle.
After checking and cleaning, you can proceed with inserting the FarmaCup; this operation is easy: it will be even easier if you are relaxed. For the first few times, it may be necessary to practice a little to find the most suitable position, both for insertion and removal. It is recommended to practice during the last two days of the cycle when the flow is less abundant. For insertion, especially for very young women, it may be necessary to use a water-based lubricant or to wet the cup with water before insertion. The correct positioning is lower than a normal internal tampon.
For insertion, wash your hands with a neutral soap and fold the FarmaCup in half vertically, as if forming a "U", holding it between your thumb and index finger. With the other hand, gently spread the labia and insert the "U"-folded cup into the vagina. It should be inserted so that it stops approximately one phalanx from the outside. Finally, check with your fingers that the FarmaCup is adhering to the vaginal walls.
For easy extraction, assume a comfortable position, possibly squatting, and relax the abdominal muscles. Wash your hands with a neutral soap and insert your index finger and thumb into the vagina, pressing the cup at the base or, if necessary, insert a finger along the outer wall, using the stem or by contracting and relaxing the vaginal muscles that may hold the cup. Let one edge come out first and then the other, alternately tilting the two opposite sides of the FarmaCup. You may hear a sound of the cup detaching from the vaginal walls: this is the "seal or vacuum" effect that must be released before extraction. If you notice that the cup offers resistance, do not panic but continue to relax. If the vaginal muscles are tense, they will hold it further; there is no danger of the cup getting "lost" inside. Gently remove the cup by tilting it slightly; this will allow you to extract it easily without accidentally spilling the contents. Finally, empty the cup into the toilet and, once thoroughly rinsed, it can be reinserted.

Warnings
Remember to empty, rinse and reinsert the FarmaCup every 4/8 hours, depending on the flow. To clean the cup, in addition to boiling it, it is also possible to immerse it in a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution (following the instructions provided by the manufacturer of such solution) and not exceeding the immersion time, which is normally about 10 minutes. Do not use aggressive products that can damage the cup and cause irritation, in particular corrosive products, essential oils and perfumed soaps. Do not put the FarmaCup in the dishwasher.
It is not a contraceptive method and does not protect against sexually transmitted diseases.
If you experience burning or pain during urination, remove the cup immediately.
In case of gynaecological problems, consult your doctor before using FarmaCup.
The cup must be removed before any sexual intercourse but it is not necessary to remove it for urination or defecation.
Do not lend or exchange your FarmaCup with anyone.
Keep the FarmaCup away from pets.
Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) is an extremely serious condition caused by a bacterial toxin linked to Staphylococcus Aureus. TSS is often associated with the use of traditional tampons. Its symptoms are similar to those of the flu and include: sudden high fever (> 39°C), muscle aches, vomiting, headache, diarrhoea, dizziness, fainting, skin rashes similar to erythema or sunburn. If you experience any of these symptoms, remove FarmaCup and consult a doctor immediately.
If you have previously suffered from TSS, consult your doctor beforehand before using the FarmaCup.
The stem should not cause any discomfort and it is important that it does not protrude from the vagina. If it is too long for your body, it can be shortened so that it only reaches the edge, taking care to round off any sharp edges that might be created as a result of the cut. The stem should only be shortened after you are sure it is too long, i.e. after using the cup several times. If the stem needs to be completely cut off, it is possible to do so, but only if you are sure you can extract it without its help. The first indication that the stem needs to be cut is the discomfort you might experience when sitting or walking. Cut a small piece at a time and try the length to avoid cutting the stem too short.
If your FarmaCup is correctly positioned, you will not have leaks. If this happens, it may be due to its position, the stem, adherence, or size.
