Eyelid hygiene is recommended by ophthalmologists for the following conditions:
- blepharitis (anterior and posterior), inflammation of the eyelids;
- dry eyes associated with Meibomian gland dysfunction, glands located inside the eyelids;
- damage to the eye and eyelid due to acne rosacea, a skin condition of the face with redness;
- damage to the eye and eyelid due to seborrheic dermatitis, a skin condition of the face with redness and scales.
Eyelid hygiene may also be recommended in cases of surgery, when meticulous cleaning of the eyelash roots and eyelids is necessary.
It can be recommended for contact lens wearers.
Sterile gel formulated for easy, mechanical cleaning of sensitive and/or atopic-prone, irritated and/or damaged eyelids.
- Helps the product adhere to the eyelids.
- Poloxamer 188 emulsifies, solubilizes, and gently eliminates mucous secretions from the eyelids (mucus, crusts, and scales at the base of the eyelashes).
- Respects the natural hydration of the eyelid.
- Refreshes, softens, and soothes the eyelids.
- Leaves no residue, is non-oily, and non-sticky.
Hypoallergenic, tested under ophthalmological control. Preservative-free, alcohol (ethanol)-free, and fragrance-free.

Directions for use
Apply BLEPHAGEL on average twice a day, morning and evening, or whenever the eyelids need cleaning.
For first use, gently press the front of the tube (on the Thea logo) for 3 seconds to push the gel towards the pump. Then, turn the tube upside down and prime the pump by pressing the top three times.
1 - By pressing the top (pump), dispense a small amount of BLEPHAGEL onto a gauze pad (do not press the tube). Remove any gel residue from the tube nozzle with a gauze pad.
2 - In front of a mirror, close one eye and gently apply the gel to the closed eyelid and the base of the eyelashes.
3 - Using circular motions, quickly and gently rub the eyelids and the base of the eyelashes until all residues are removed.
4 - Remove any BLEPHAGEL residue from the eyelids with a clean gauze pad.
5 - Repeat these 4 steps for the other eye.

Ingredients
Aqua, poloxamer 188, PEG 90, carbomer, sodium hydroxide.

Warnings
- Product intended to be applied to the eyelids and eyelashes, not for use in the eyes.
- Do not keep the tube open for more than 8 weeks.
- Do not cut the tube (risk of bacterial contamination).
Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Shelf life after opening: 8 weeks.
