Description
Food supplement with sweeteners based on potassium citrate.
Particularly helpful for individuals subject to intense fluid loss, such as heavy sweating, diuresis, or diarrhea, or for patients undergoing therapy with drugs such as diuretics, laxatives, or corticosteroids.
It is also particularly useful for those who engage in intense sports activities, as it not only provides an adequate amount of readily assimilable potassium, but also in an alkaline form, through citrate.
This alkalizing action helps to neutralize lactic acid at the muscular level and allow for easier drainage through the bloodstream.
This reduces the risk of cramps and muscle soreness.

Instructions for use
The BIOKCIT sachet dissolved in half a glass of water makes a pleasant citrus-flavored drink.
It is recommended to take one sachet of BIOKCIT per day for adequate mineral supplementation.
For different indications (prevention of kidney stones), follow medical prescription.

Warnings
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age.
Supplements should not be considered as substitutes for a varied diet.
BIOKCIT is contraindicated in patients suffering from hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia, or conditions that may predispose to the appearance of such plasma alterations. These conditions include chronic renal failure, uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Concurrent administration of BIOKCIT and potassium-sparing drugs (triamterene, spironolactone, amiloride) could lead to hyperkalemia. It is therefore advisable to monitor potassium levels.
No interactions with other drugs are known.
Rarely, during treatment, mild gastrointestinal disturbances may develop such as: abdominal heaviness, nausea and occasionally diarrhea. The tablet form may be particularly indicated in these subjects.
