Assembly
1. Install the nebulizer unit. Push the nebulizer unit in the direction indicated by the arrow into the slot of the power unit. A "click" sound indicates that it is installed in position. If the nebulizer unit is not installed correctly, nebulization may not be effective.
2. Remove the nebulizer unit from the power unit. Press and hold the PRESS button located on the power unit and pull the nebulizer unit out of the power unit. Warning: to avoid damage to the device, do not remove the nebulizer unit without first pressing the PRESS button.
How to use
When using the device for the first time, it is recommended to clean it as described in the 'Cleaning and disinfection' section.
1. Open the medication chamber by holding the power unit with one hand and grasping the lid tab with the thumb and forefinger of the other hand to unlock it upwards.
2. Add the amount of medication prescribed by the doctor. The maximum and minimum liquid volumes are 8 ml and 0.5 ml respectively. Do not exceed the limit (max. 8 ml).
3. Close the lid of the medication chamber: a "click" sound indicates correct closure.
4. Install the mouthpiece: connect the mouthpiece to the nebulizer unit fitting. To use the mouthpiece, close your lips slightly so as not to disperse the flow of the nebulized medication.
5. Install the mask: connect the mask to the nebulizer unit fitting. Bring the mask close to your face and adjust the elastic straps to secure it properly.
6. Operating method: press the ON/OFF button to turn on the device. The operating LED will light up with a steady green light and the device will start nebulizing.
7. Inhalation: holding the device, slowly inhale the nebulized medication, breathing through your nose or mouth. Slow and steady breathing promotes the inhalation of aerosol medications into the respiratory tract.
The duration of each inhalation should not exceed 15/20 minutes.
For effective aerosol therapy, it is necessary to be calm, relaxed and seated. An uncomfortable posture and inconsistent breathing can cause airway obstruction. Use the mouthpiece correctly to prevent medication accumulation on the tongue. Press the ON/OFF button when you want to stop aerosol therapy. The device turns off automatically when the medication is depleted. When there are many bubbles between the medication and the Mesh nebulizer, the device cannot nebulize the medication. You can first turn off the device, then gently shake the nebulizer. Finally, restart the device. To ensure normal nebulization of the medication, keep the device vertical or tilt it slightly towards the Mesh nebulizer. If the operating device is tilted to the point that the liquid is not in contact with the Mesh nebulizer, the device turns off after 10 seconds. Tilt the nebulizer slightly towards you when the solution is almost depleted, to ensure that the residual solution remains in contact with the Mesh nebulizer to be completely nebulized. A high viscosity solution can cause poor nebulization or clogging of the Mesh nebulizer. In this case, turn off the device and rinse the accumulated solution with distilled water.
1. At the end of the treatment, press the ON/OFF button to turn off the device. Remove the mouthpiece or mask from the nebulizer unit. 2. Pour out any remaining medication and clean the device. For more information, see the Cleaning and disinfection section.
Cleaning and disinfection
Cleaning
The nebulizer unit and accessories (mouthpiece or mask) must be cleaned and disinfected after each application. After each use, remove the mouthpiece or mask from the nebulizer unit. Open the top cover of the nebulizer unit to remove any residual medication. Then add tap water to the medication chamber and shake gently, then pour out the water. Be careful not to wet the outer surface of the device. Add tap water again and close the nebulizer. By pressing the ON/OFF button and holding it for 5 seconds, the indicator will flash green and the device will enter self-cleaning mode. After cleaning for 2-3 minutes, press the ON/OFF button to stop the cleaning mode. Finally, pour out the remaining water. Remove the nebulizer unit from the power unit. Disconnect the USB cable from the power unit if you are using USB power. Wash and rinse the nebulizer unit with distilled water (the power unit should not be washed). Shake off excess water and allow the parts to air dry completely on a clean, dry towel. Do not touch the Mesh nebulizer with fingers, cotton swabs or other objects. If necessary, use a clean gauze or towel to remove stains on the power unit. Make sure all cleaned parts are completely dry before storing or using them.
The power unit contains electronic parts and electrodes. Do not immerse the power unit in water or rinse it with water. Otherwise, electric shocks or current leakage may occur, resulting in device malfunction. Do not wash parts in a dishwasher. Do not use a microwave oven to dry parts.
When the Mesh nebulizer is severely clogged and cannot be cleaned with the methods described above, you can try the following method: add boiling water and a few drops of white vinegar to the medication chamber and activate the cleaning mode. If the Mesh nebulizer remains clogged, replace the nebulizer unit. Clean the mask and mouthpiece with a neutral detergent before first use and after each use. Hand wash the mask and mouthpiece in warm water (30°C) with a neutral detergent and rub gently for at least 30 seconds. Rinse thoroughly with distilled water. Allow them to air dry and keep them away from direct sunlight. Make sure the nebulizer unit and accessories are completely dry and there is no residual liquid in the nebulizer unit before storing them.
Disinfection with alcohol
Rinse the nebulizer unit and accessories with distilled water. Immerse the nebulizer unit and accessories in 75% ethyl alcohol for 10 minutes. Rinse the nebulizer unit and accessories again with distilled water, shake off excess water and allow the parts to air dry completely on a clean, dry towel. Make sure all parts are clean and dry before storing or using them. Alcohol is highly flammable. Do not use alcohol near open flames or smoke. Do not rinse or immerse the power unit, power adapter or USB cable in any liquid. Before storing the device, make sure the nebulizer unit and accessories are completely dry and there is no residual liquid in the nebulizer unit.
